More on the “human element”

“Issues of photographic trust are usually human-driven at least as much as they are technically driven.”

It is made clear throughout this website that the “Guaranteed TCQ” label is meaningless unless the guarantee is made by a photographer “the viewer doesn’t mistrust” (as per Q9).

• Viewers are told to disregard the “Guaranteed TCQ” label when they don’t know or don’t trust whoever appears to be standing behind the guarantee

• Both the Submission and the Publishing guidelines repeatedly place the onus of the TCQ guarantee onto the photographer

• For more on the role of the photographer’s credibility and accountability, see also the FAQ on Q9 and the guide to labeling TCQ photographs (which is also a FAQ)
