#14 in a series of “how-to” guides

How to label multiple TCQ photographs

  • Scenario 1. All photos in a particular setting are by one photographer and all are “Guaranteed TCQ”

    ___________________

One instance of the “Guaranteed TCQ” label can cover the whole group of photos.

“All of the photographs in this [setting] are Guaranteed TCQ by the photographer.”

What if there’s an “IC” alert?

    — If ALL of the photographs require an “IC” to meet Q8, the “IC” can be attached to the one instance of the label (“Guaranteed TCQ/IC”).

    — If only SOME (but not all) of the photographs require an “IC” to meet Q8, those photographs can be listed individually following the one instance of the label.

  • Scenario 2. All photos in a particular setting are by one photographer but some are “Guaranteed TCQ” and others are not

    ___________________

“The following photographs are “Guaranteed TCQ” by [photographer’s name]”

    [then identifying each relevant photograph]

What if there’s an “IC” alert?

If some of the photographs require an “IC” to meet Q8, the wording can say,

“The following photographs are “Guaranteed TCQ/IC” by [photographer’s name]”

    [then identifying each relevant photograph]

  • Scenario 3. All the photographs in a particular setting are labeled “Guaranteed TCQ” but they are by different photographers

    ___________________

“All photographs in this [setting] are Guaranteed TCQ by the respective photographers”

[then identifying the photographer for each photograph]

What if there’s an “IC” alert?

    — If ALL of the photographs require an “IC” to meet Q8, the “IC” can be attached to the one instance of the label (“Guaranteed TCQ/IC”).

    — If only SOME (but not all) of the photographs require an “IC” to meet Q8, those photographs can be listed individually following the one instance of the label.

  • Scenario 4. All photographs in a particular setting are by different photographers and some are labeled “Guaranteed TCQ” and others are not

    ___________________

“The following photographs are Guaranteed TCQ by the respective photographers”

[then identifying the relevant photos and photographers]

The same is true for “IC” labeling:

“The following photographs are Guaranteed TCQ/IC by the respective photographers”

[then identifying the relevant photos and photographers]

These are only suggestions. TCQ photographers can handle the labeling any way they choose.
