Blemishes on the subject are “part of the scene being depicted” and even when they are two-dimensional they are considered forms and shapes.

Thus — as per Q2 — in a TCQ photograph blemishes cannot be added, deleted, replaced, resized, recolored, moved, modified, blurred, or reshaped apart from the effects of TCQ’s Allowable Changes.

“But I’m just making the photo look the way the subject could have looked!”

However, the effects of blemishes on the lens or sensor that were NOT part of the scene depicted are considered “surface flaws” and can be corrected in TCQ photographs, as per Allowable Change #3.
