blurring (post-exposure)
including softening

Any post-exposure blurring or softening — whether focus-related, motion-related, or other — disqualifies the result from Q2 (the only exceptions are effects of the Allowable Changes linked to Q2).

This disqualification includes motion blur not caused by movement in the relationship between camera and subject; it includes general softening for more flattering portraits; and it includes the blur that is added immediately when using the “portrait” modes on smartphones; fortunately that added blur is easy for smartphone users to Undo.
