compressing, visual

(This refers to “squishing” the image area of a photograph vertically or horizontally to make the photo a different proportion without cropping it)

Visually compressing a photograph either horizontally or vertically — even by a tiny bit — disqualifies a photograph from Q2, because everything in the photograph is reshaped by such actions.

As per Q2, the only reason that anything in TCQ photographs can ever be reshaped is to correct for camera/lens/shutter anomalies, the correction of which is #4 on TCQ’s list of Allowable Changes.

All other reshaping (of anything, in any photograph, for any reason, no matter how small the change) disqualifies the result from Q2 and TCQ.

Note that cropping and overall resizing do not disqualify photographs from TCQ.
