waves
in bodies of water

In a TCQ photograph, waves can be blurred slightly as long as individual waves are still recognizable.

But if waves are blurred unrecognizably (or rendered “invisibly” — that is, as a smooth surface) then the photograph will fail the motarri test and will not meet Q5 or Q7 — and thus cannot qualify for the “Guaranteed TCQ” label.

TCQ treats “waves in a body of water” differently from “falling water in fountains and waterfalls” because “waves” move more slowly than “falling water” does, so people are accustomed to seeing individual waves.
